Our Mission & Vision
The mission and vision of the Ignite Youth Movement is to both kindle and rekindle the flame of youth, ages 5-18, to boldly shine their light for Christ and serve in ministry.
The Ignite Youth Movement uses 3 initiatives to accomplish this mission and vision:

Scriptural Basis
“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.” Matthew 5:14-16
Meet Joshua & Katrena Moore
The Ignite Youth Movement began in 2018 under the leadership of Joshua and Katrena Moore. During that time, they served as youth directors at their church. The two noticed a growing trend of youth becoming disengaged during devotionals and the line of youth awaiting their opportunity to display their gifts in ministry had begun to decline. It was during that time that God gave them a vision of the Ignite Youth Conference; a conference designed to teach and lead youth into stronger relationships with Christ, but also expose them to areas of ministry. The conference had great success with over 70 youth in attendance and accepting Christ as their Savior. After a brief hiatus in 2020, the two now feel led by the Holy Spirit to kick the conference into high gear. With the blessing of their spiritual leaders, the two aspire to engage not just the youth of their East TX community, but any and all communities desiring to see more engagement in their youth ministry.

IGNITE YOUTH
CONFERENCE
The Ignite Conference offers a wide range of programs and sessions aimed at empowering young individuals to grow in their faith and become active participants in their local church communities. Our sessions cover various topics such as spiritual growth, leadership development, and community engagement.
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION CLASSES
Through Christian Education through hands-on activities and in-depth discussion, youth will explore varoius facets of Matthew 5:14-16 and make it applicable to their lives.
MINISTRY ENGAGEMENT WORKSHOPS
Sounds of Judah Choir
Youth will learn the significance of Gospel Music in the church and learn songs. Up and coming musicians from participating churches will also have the opportunity to participate instrumentally under the direction of the conference music director.
Public Speaking & Media
Learn the importance of presentation in both public speaking and through the use of media.
Drumline
Music is everywhere! Youth will uniquely study percussion sounds and learn a drum cadence!
Liturgical Dance
In this instructional session youth girls will learn a liturgical dance and see how the use of sign language can express Gospel Music and also help individuals who may be hearing impaired to still experience music.
Drill & Step Ministry
Introducing the Ignite Drill & Step Ministry. In this class, young men will have the opportunity to use synchronized movements, step routines, and rhythmic precision to glorify God. Rooted in discipline, unity, and praise, our drill team combines military-style formations with spiritual purpose
Ignite Ambassadors
The Ignite Youth Movement believes in not just igniting the fire to serve Christ, but also fanning that flame and making it grow. For these reasons, we have established the Ignite Ambassadors Program. After participating in the conference, youth in the 9th through 12th grade will have the opportunity to apply. The benefits of this program include mentorship, discipleship and scholarships. Are you interested? Start the application! All applications for Summer Ignite 2025 are due by September 1st, 2025.
